New Clinical Laboratory Sciences Program Now Offered at Rush University

The Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at Rush University is now offering a combined program for a Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB) Certificate and Masters of Science in Clinical Laboratory Management. This integrated curriculum prepares students for the SBB Certificate and for the Diplomat in Laboratory Management (DLM) exam given by the ASCP Board of Certification.

Dean Shelledy Elected to Association of Schools of Allied Health Professionals Board of Directors

David C. Shelledy, PhD, RRT, FAARC, Ellis Jones Endowed Chair and dean of the College of Health Sciences, has been elected to the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP) Board of Directors for a three-year term. Shelledy is one of the ASAHP's five commissioners who serve on the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

College of Health Sciences Announces New Physican Assistant Master's Program

Rush University College of Health Sciences is now offering a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies designed to prepare students for careers as physician assistants as well as provide a foundation for leadership in specialty areas of clinical practice.

Rush’s Physician Assistant Studies program recently received its initial accreditation from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). The program's first class which will began in June 2010.
